Bike Animal
As a result of their significant experience in the insurance market, the founders of Bike Animal had identified a niche for an interactive motorcycle insurance website that would allow motorcyclists to find the best insurance deals online. Their goal for Bike Animal was to create a service that sifted the best rates from brokers and insurers that met individual customers' circumstances.
One of the most important technical challenges was to create a website capable of aggregating live insurance quotes from a range of insurance suppliers and handle the different weightings and conditions they applied.
Compared with other solution providers, Comrange was able to tick all the main boxes.
Using AppProducer, the Bike Animal Aggregator aggregated quotes from several specialist motorcycle insurance brokers and insurance companies at the same time. This included solving the problem of automating the sorting and grading of multiple quotes from individual sources.
Smartfundit
Smartfundit.com enables technology vendors to offer their customers finance as part of their sales proposition. Vendors want to be paid up-front for the total value of their solution, however, their customers often face budgetary challenges and find it easier to pay for their IT investment over time using finance.
Through its online marketplace, Smartfundit. com uses their own proprietary intelligent decision system to deliver competed-for finance quotes – in real time. Taking a company’s credit rating, the engine profiles proposed deals and then automatically searches through over 8000 finance product combinations from a network of over 100 global funding partners to find the most competitive rates on the market.
Smartfundit.com’s existing systems supplier was unable to deliver the kind of solution it needed within the timeframe required. With a global launch deadline to meet, Smartfundit. com turned to Comrange.
BASDA
BASDA, the Business Application Software Developers Association, represents more than 250 of the world's leading applications software developers and is the acknowledged voice of the software applications industry. It is recognised by the European Commission, the UK Government and the United Nations.
BASDA wanted a website that would enable it to capitalise on 21st century technology and add value to the BASDA membership.
BASDA needed a technology partner who had a software solution which met the current and future needs of the organisation. BASDA's decision to go with Comrange was based on the fact that it not only offered an off-the-shelf e-Community product but the company was also geared up to deliver regular product upgrades, new functionality and provided a good support structure.
The switch to Comrange meant that BASDA was able to satisfy the criteria it had set. BASDA members can now update their own information on the website by accessing password protected areas through their web browser, one of the key features of Comrange's e-Community software. This provides members with their own admin control panel, which allows them to add new users, amend their product information, their press releases and other content. Members can also interact with each other by participating in the discussion forums that are moderated by BASDA.
